We are looking for a Quality Assurance Manager to lead our team. The STADCO Precision quality system is ISO 9001:2015 certified. Our quality assurance department works with our customers to develop quality plans and detailed job instructions to ensure the parts meet or exceed their required tolerance level. Incoming material inspections, machine set-up validations, operator in-process inspections, final pre-shipment inspections, and gage calibration are all components integral to our quality system. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Responsible for driving both strategic and tactical projects to achieve best in class quality for our customers
  • Use Quality Data to lead systemic problem-solving activities to achieve the overall company product quality and performance goals
  • Eliminate process variation by creating, revising, and implementing work instructions or quality standards.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software
  • Work with plant operational and lean practitioners in promoting the application of error proofing solutions that leverage root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Provide quality technical expertise for process development, maintenance, and adherence to engineering and quality specifications
  • Communicate the status of quality issues internally and to customers as required
  • Maintain expert level with our machine operators with SPC

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or minimum of five years relevant quality management experience in the small to mid-sized manufacturing environment
  • Must have a high mechanical aptitude, and understand tolerances
  • Working knowledge of inspection equipment and calibration management 
  • Experience with automotive industry and their production requirements
  • Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Our shop equipment includes multiple-spindle bar machines from Davenport, Acme, and Tornos, as well as Escomatic Swiss screw machines and CNC tapping centers. Extensive in-house tooling capabilities give STADCO customers an important competitive advantage on 3 fronts: cost, quality, and lead time.

Part features produced by STADCO include internal / external threads, knurls, cross-drilled holes, internal / external broaches, slots and flats. Diameters range from 1/16" to 1-5/16" or 1.5 mm to 33 mm. Our Escomatic Swiss machines with 1/4" diameter capacity produce small parts with highly complex profiles, and tolerances to ±.002.

STADCO produces parts of carbon steel, all stainless grades, brass, aluminum, Monel, Teflon and Delrin. "Near net" bar stock is often specified to eliminate secondary machining and lower costs. This special barstock is available in carbon steel and stainless grades, also aluminum and brass alloys, with profiles including hex, square, triangular, grooved and splined.
