Our growing company is searching for experienced candidates for the position of principal Analyst. Responsibilities

  • Communicating validation work to management, model owners, regulators, and auditors
  • Act as key data lead to leverage versatile technical capabilities to drive the development, evolution, and implementation of data products, which enable self-service by data consumers

  • Contributing to model validation projects, in an analytic capacity
  • Candidate will be responsible for the review of new investment account applications to ensure compliance with Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) rules and regulations, and the firms policies and procedures
  • Candidate will be responsible for participating in the updates of departmental policies and procedures, ensuring all internal and regulatory audits are compliant
  • Serve as the primary person for developing reports in claims processing and provide data analysis for the business and technical teams
  • Work closely with IS to manage system issues and change requests, identifying the best technical and business solutions to implement
  • Support enhancement of the SAP global template (with a shared services center) the deployment of the template to additional Operational Units
  • Develop and maintain key data related artifacts, models and solutions that support the company goals of delivering quality, accurate and timely data to business users.
Qualifications
  • A bachelor degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, data science, computer science, or engineering field is required with at least 24 semester hours in mathematical, statistical, engineering and/or quantitative analysis courses.
  • 2-3 years of experience in applied model development and implementation
  • Demonstrated experience with DoD Acquisition and defense department data sources (e.g., cost and software data reporting in both legacy formats and Flex files, earned value management), and hands-on experience and proficiency with computer programming such as R or Python are required.
  • Experience with time series modeling
  • Experience and knowledge of VBA
  • Experience with documentation for model validation or regulatory review
  • At least seven (7) years of relevant experience utilizing statistics, data science, or machine learning with at least five (5) years in a cost estimating environment.
  • A professional certification in cost analysis from DAWIA or ICEAA is preferred. If acting as a function point counter, a function point certification such as the International Function Point Users Group (IFPUG) Certified Function Point Specialist (CFPS), or equivalent, is required.
