Job Purpose/Description The Admission department is looking for a Support Specialist and Campus Ambassador who is a friendly and reliable student to work alongside the Admissions staff to aid in the recruitment of prospective students this summer. A significant focus of the position involves providing campus tours to visiting students and families with an emphasis on customer service and the customer experience. Students will also have the opportunity to engage with new students during orientation sessions and special Admissions events. In between tours, our student team will be responsible for the efficient and accurate data entry/data clean up tasks and periodic mailings to inquiring students. Job Duties Provide campus tours to prospective students and families Computer data entry Operate general office equipment (fax, scanning & copying of documents) Prepare outgoing mail for distribution Assemble and compile basic data according to specific instructions Retrieve supplies when needed Occasionally assist Admissions Staff with other duties as may be assigned Required Qualifications Must be a CSS student This is a full-time position 40 hours per week (8:00am - 4:30pm) Monday through Friday during the summer Knowledge of campus and campus life Strong customer service orientation and the ability to interact with a wide variety of people in a friendly, professional manner required Professional presence to represent the College to the public required Strong time management and organizational skills required Positive attitude Computer skills required - Microsoft Office software programs Typing proficiency Ability to follow instructions Job functions require sitting, standing and walking during shift Ability to perform all of the above functions during an assigned workday without significant risk of injury Adhere to the Admissions Student Employment Guidelines Special Instructions to Applicants Must be a CSS student This is a full-time position 40 hours per week (8:00 am - 4:30 pm) Monday through Friday over the summer only Students continuing in this role for fall, need to qualify for federal student employment
