Position Summary:
Are you bilingual in Spanish and English, with a passion for providing excellent customer service in support of CIRI's mission? We are seeking a Per Diem Receptionist to join our team at the CIRI Bridgeport Office. This role is crucial for maintaining our front office operations, especially during the absence of our full-time receptionist. The position requires availability for short-notice assignments, providing essential coverage during sick leave or vacation. The position does not have guaranteed hours.

Salary: $19.00 per hour

Essential Job Functions:
  • Answer phones promptly with a courteous and professional demeanor.
  • Return messages in a timely manner and accurately relay information to the appropriate staff member.
  • Greet and interact with clients and visitors, ensuring they are directed to the right staff.
  • Manage a multi-line telephone system, including directing calls, answering inquiries, and taking messages.
  • Handle queries from the public and clients with professionalism and care.
  • Prepare and manage daily outgoing mail, ensuring timely delivery to the post office.
  • Receive, sort, and file incoming mail.
  • Work effectively in a multi-lingual environment.
Qualifications:
  • At least one year of experience in general office responsibilities and procedures.
  • Ability to accept flexible schedule with no guaranteed hours and potential short notice
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English required.
  • Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Comfortable operating standard office equipment, including computers, telephone systems, calculators, and copiers.
