We provide rehabilitation services across the continuum - acute care hospitals, long term care facilities, sub-acute rehabilitation, homecare, outpatient centers, and in community settings such as senior centers, work sites, and schools and colleges. We offer over 40 outpatient locations offering physical, occupational, and speech therapy, in specialties including orthopedics, neuroscience, oncology, women’s health, sports medicine, vestibular, and more. We are known for our commitment to high quality, customer focused outcomes. Overview:We are currently seeking a per diem Exercise Physiologist for our Stratford Outpatient Rehab Clinic. The Exercise Physiologist implements and supervises physical exercise programs for patients. Responsibilities: · Provides patient testing and assessment before and after rehabilitation. · Plans and teaches exercise therapy for patients utilizing test data, patient status and currentmedication regimen. Monitors patient's response and revises plan accordingly. · Recognizes contraindications and abnormal patient responses to exercise. Responds appropriately to allsituations including exercise cessation and referral to medical professionals. · Provides exercise information for patients, peers and the community which may include public speakingand education classes. · Collaborates with physician regarding the exercise prescription for each patient. Maintains in-depthknowledge of monitoring and arrhythmia identification. · Preparation of report on individual patient to appropriate physician. Appropriately charts progress inMedical Records. Maintains appropriate documentation of patient care. · Develops and maintains in-depth knowledge of the departmental equipment. Maintains equipment in optimalfunctioning condition in accordance with manufactures guidelines. provide staff with educationalin-service for proper and safe use of equipment.Qualifications • B.S. in Exercise Physiology / Science or related degree M.S. preferred • Basic monitor interpretation skills and must successfully pass dysrhythmia class within 3 months ofhire. • ACSM Clinical Certification Preferred.
