Because we design, build, commission, and operate our technologies, we are looking for individuals who can meet the following essential functions of the position:
  • Lead and mentor of a team of weld cell technicians under the guidance of senior management
  • Rely on an understanding of electro-mechanical and control systems and previous experience to oversee the operation of multiple robotic weld cells
  • Collaborate with engineers and technicians to optimize uptime and schedule and perform preventative maintenance
  • Troubleshoot technical issues performing minor program corrections and coordinate technical support
  • Play a significant role in the development and implementation of training programs for the cell
  • Adhere to and enforce industrial safety and Lock Out Tag Out best practices
  • Coordinate with procurement staff to ensure timely restocking of critical materials and consumables
  • Identify sources of quality defects and make suggestions for root cause solutions
  • Identify defects and approve repairs to parts to bring into compliance
  • Understand high level objectives and keep track of multiple prioritize to support critical path timelines
  • Work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines and challenging goals
  • Demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors
  • Demonstrate passion and excitement for solving difficult yet exciting tasks
  • Arrive to work on time and maintain good attendance
  • Demonstrate high level of organization
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
This position has multiple levels of competency to be determined by performance, certifications, and supervisor discretion.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
  • Three or more years' experience with complex control systems, CNC, robotics, etc
  • Three or more years' MIG/TIG experience required
  • Laser welding experience desired
  • Exposure to some robotics desired, extensive experience is ideal
  • Exposure to automated systems/PLCs/HMI desired
  • Minimum requirement for all positions is a high school diploma or GED
  • Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
  • Wage range for this role is between $35.00-$45.00/hourly
  • $2.00 an hour shift differential for swing shift
  • Discretionary bonus
  • Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts, off-site work, and access pay.
  • The range provided is Sedron's estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities.
