Description

South Carolina Federal Credit Union is currently seeking Credit Card Specialist to join our team of outstanding professionals in North Charleston, SC.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Communicate properly with all employees to ensure positive and clear understanding of credit union goals and direction
  • Support and process member, financial center, department and vendor correspondence via email, mail, member diary and telephone.
  • Process new credit card applications.
  • Perform research and resolution for UChoose Reward inquiries.
  • Responsible for internal and external request processing for card operations. Must abide by strict time constraints and at times MasterCard or federal regulations.
  • Coordinate and maintain card plastic inventory for branches and entire card portfolio.
  • Prepare and review reports and take appropriate action as needed.
  • Make suggestions for PCF changes to Card Operations Manager.
  • Act as contact with representative from Fiserv for issues in absence of Card Operations Manager or when needed.
  • Reconcile, research, resolve outstanding items, substantiate general ledger balance, and prepare written reconcilement for assigned accounts.
  • Support credit union's short and long-term goals by working and assisting Card Operations Manager or VP Card Operations with the development and execution of tactical plans.
  • When needed, perform as a back up to other areas within Card Operations.
Minimum qualifications include:
  • Possess a minimum of two years of similar or related Debit Card, Credit Card or ATM experience in a service work environment.
  • Possess the ability to provide superior member/customer service.
  • Possess the ability to interpret and apply regulations, policies, procedures, guidelines and practices
  • Possess the ability to consistently deliver accurate and thorough work.
  • Possess the ability to perform work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Possess the ability to maintain confidential information and handle sensitive issues with tact and diplomacy.
  • Possess demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to work cooperatively with others.
  • Possess demonstrated problem solving skills.
  • Possess proficient verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possess proficiency in Microsoft office applications, to include Excel and Access.
  • Possess proficient mathematical skills.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).


NOTE: Relevant military experience is considered for veterans and transitioning service members.
