About This Opportunity

FPA is currently searching for a full-time Mechanical Engineer for our Wall Township, New Jersey office. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years' experience designing and specifying building HVAC and plumbing systems, preferably in the commercial and education sectors.

  • Using a system of layering, the Mechanical & Electrical Division can work effectively with our Structural Division through AutoCAD to assure compatibility with structural elements.
  • Provide construction phase services such as shop drawing review and field monitoring, as a continuation of design service.
What We Are Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License (NJ and NY)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or closely related field
  • 3+ years' experience designing and specifying building HVAC and plumbing systems.
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable building codes
  • Experience in commercial and education sectors
  • Proficiency in HVAC load calculation software, similar to Trace
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or other computer-related drafting software
