SIMEDHealth is looking for a full-time Chief Financial Officer for our independent multi-specialty group practice located in North Central Florida and headquartered in Gainesville, Florida.

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be responsible for all financial activities of SIMEDHealth and affiliated companies. The CFO must be knowledgeable of current aspects of financial management ranging from simple accounting to broad investments to banking. Financial activities includes bookkeeping, accounts payable, payroll, accounts receivables, banking, oversight of external accounting and audit services. The CFO will be responsible for the completion of financial activities within generally accepted accounting principles, and will demonstrate a broad knowledge of medical office practices along with the willingness to mentor, support, and educate executives, physicians and managers. The CFO position is an onsite position requiring the ability to travel and access all SIMEDHealth locations.

The CFO responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Develop and implement SIMEDHealth and affiliated companies financial planning and strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Prepare regular reports of current and forecasted financial positions.
  • Direct preparation of all financial statements including balance sheets, profit and loss, cash flow, all required tax reporting, and other government agency reports.
  • Supervise all finance personnel.
  • Manage vendor relationships.
  • Meet regularly with CEO.
  • Participate in all Board, and executive management meetings.
  • Participate in physician, managers and staff meetings and programs for purpose of enhancing communication, financial and leadership skills.
  • Assist with budget process, and monitor that purchases remain within budget parameters.
  • Assist Administration's work with local community and business leaders to build SIMEDHealth's reputation as an employer and place for healthcare services.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and working on computer.
Qualified candidates will have:
  • Master's degree in finance, accounting, business, or healthcare administration.
  • Effective communication and people skills with excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Strong financial data analytical skills and forecasting methods.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, database, and financial management software.
  • Minimum five years of financial management experience.
  • Healthcare administration experience.
  • Minimum 2 years organizational leadership experience.
