REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:
•Manage security solutions, including firewall, anti-virus, and intrusion detection systems.
•Manage all network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches, hubs, and UPSs.
•Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of end user workstation hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
•Ensure network connectivity of all workstations.
•Perform network design and capacity planning.
•Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards in support of network procurement and development efforts.
•Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure network products and services.
•Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures and associated training plans for network resource administration, appropriate use, and disaster recovery.
•Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.
•Establish service level agreements with end users.
•Administer and maintain end user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
•Perform server and security audits.
•Perform system backups and recovery.
•Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports.
•Recommend, schedule, and perform network improvements, upgrades, and repairs.
•Manage and/or provide guidance and projects to junior members of the team.
•Perform network design and capacity planning
Performs other duties as assigned or required.

KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS:
•Certifications per DoD certification policy

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent AND five (5) years of progressively complex information technology and/or database administration experience; OR equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Experience must include significant work with database management systems and associated utility software. Minimum of two (2) years leadership experience. CISCO CCNA,
VCP and/or Microsoft MCSE certification. Oracle Database and SQL Expert certified. Ability to perform QCM functions if requested.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Required to work outside the traditional work schedule. Maybe called out to work off-shift for on-call or emergency situations. Security+ and a computing environment certification are both required prior to hire. An Interim Secret Clearance is required prior to confirmed full time employment. ITIL certification is preferred.

MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The following demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position requires persistent repetitive movements of the hands, wrists and fingers and the ability to sit for long periods of time.
