Responsibilities Perform comprehensive eye examinations to assess vision and eye health.
Diagnose and treat eye diseases and conditions while prescribing appropriate treatments.
Provide prescriptions for eyeglasses and contact lenses based on patient needs.
Educate patients regarding ocular health, vision correction options, and preventive measures.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
Document patient encounters accurately in electronic health record systems.
Adjust examination methodologies to suit the mobile care environment effectively.
Requirements
Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
Active licensure to practice as an optometrist in Ohio.
Prior experience in a clinical or mobile healthcare setting is preferred.
In-depth knowledge of common ocular diseases and treatment methods.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple patient engagements effectively.
Dedication to providing high-quality, compassionate care to all patients.
