The Data Analyst at First Insight is an integral part of First Insight and serves as a vital link between its technical solution offering and the strategic business objectives of First Insight and its customers.

Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning

Implement existing and develop new financial models to quantify the value of First Insights predictive analytics solution on the sales, gross margin and relatable KPIs of First Insights customers.
Work directly with First Insights KAM team to identify customer pain points, identify opportunities and data analysis methods to demonstrate customer value.
Execute initiatives related to profitability, customer retention, loyalty, security, and processing integrity.
Participate as needed as Subject Matter Expert in Product.

As a Data Analyst you will:

Receive sales and performance data for agreed upon metrics of analysis. Clean data according to First Insight process and best practice to ensure accurate correlation of data based upon agreed metrics. According to best practice, correlate customer performance data with First Insight results data.
Demonstrate how First Insights solutions can actionably impact a customers strategic and tactical goals in product to market decisions delivering a significant positive impact to operational performance and profitability.
Participate and present in customer meetings.
Transfer knowledge on how to interpret and apply data of FIs solution suite to support decisions to attain business results.
Engage with customers and internal team to understand and identify opportunities to further support our customers achievement of business goals and improve KPIs
Showcase current best practices and successes - highlighting the early and ongoing value of FI solutions and partnership.
Pay close attention to project team needs, anticipate problems, and recommend solutions.
Work with customers to analyze information that comes from First Insights testing Protocols.

Operational Management:

Communicate with members of the organization, particularly in the areas of data collection and management, value quantification and Insight Best Practices.
Learn and effectively communicate companys value message to our customers.

Position Requirements

Education

University degree in the field of mathematics, statistics, computer science, finance, economics, business administration or industrial administration is required.

Knowledge & Experience

Established proficiency in MS Office with advanced Excel skills.
Ability to translate business problems to action plans.
Familiarity with social media technologies.
Understanding of product to market processes/metrics or retail experience is a plus.
Experience with R, SAS, SPSS, or other statistical software package is a plus.
Skill with Python
