THE ROLE

As the Ecommerce and Marketing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in driving our online sales growth through effective management of our ecommerce website and strategic development of engaging newsletters. You will collaborate closely with the marketing team to enhance our brand visibility, customer engagement, and conversion rates.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Email and Lifecycle Management:

  • Use Adobe Suite to assist in developing and executing email marketing strategies focused on newsletters.
  • Contribute to creating content and designing newsletters to drive customer engagement and sales.
  • Learn to segment email lists and help personalize content for improved relevance and effectiveness.
  • Support in monitoring email deliverability and assist in optimizing campaigns based on performance metrics.
  • Manage and maintain project schedules and track progress of all email/SMS/Push sends, from initial creative through to development and deployment
  • Route email/SMS/Push creative through stakeholder approval process and collaborate with Design team on changes
  • Review all email/SMS proofs for content and design accuracy
  • Support the email marketing team with reporting for weekly/monthly/ad hoc campaign reporting
  • Assist with the management of email/SMS/Push messaging calendar and schedule adjustments

Ecommerce Management:

  • Build and maintain Shopify stores, designing and implementing custom Shopify themes, managing inventory, updating product listings, and ensuring a seamless shopping experience.
  • Assisting in the development and execution of e-commerce strategies to drive online sales and enhance customer engagement.
  • Create and edit Product Detail Pages (PDP) using retail customer portals and/or customer spreadsheets while adhering to customer data standards.
  • Add, maintain, and edit product descriptions, attribute fields, product images, product videos and other data using available software, including AI (ChatGPT).
  • Tailor product titles, descriptions that are engaging and fulfill SEO goals for customer web sites.
  • Use various Adobe Suite programs to edit and maintain product images and create enhanced content to meet and exceed customer data quality standards.
  • Create, maintain, and edit promotional content to support ongoing promotions if needed.
  • Continuously improve the online shopping experience to increase conversion rates and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements based on insights gathered.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Proven experience in ecommerce management, preferably in a consumer-facing industry.
  • Strong understanding of email marketing best practices and experience with email automation tools (e.g., Klaviyo, Mailchimp).
  • Proficiency in using ecommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, SquareSpace) and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights.
  • Creative mindset with strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite..
  • Knowledge of SEO principles and techniques.
  • Certification in Google Analytics or similar analytics platforms.
