Anesthesia Technician

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Per Diem Anesthesia Technician for Anesthesiology department at Morristown Medical Center to work 3pm-11pm including on-call and rotating weekends every 8-10 weeks.

Essential Function/Responsibilities:

+ Perform duties under direct supervision of a licensed anesthesia provider.

+ Provides support for routine surgical cases by assisting in the preparation and maintenance of patient equipment and anesthesia delivery systems before, during and after anesthesia.

+ Performs first level maintenance on anesthesia equipment.

+ Clean, sterilize, disinfects, stocks, orders and maintains the routine anesthesia equipment and supplies.

Minimum Education:

+ High School diploma or GED

+ Graduate from an approved ASATT school preferred

Minimum Experience:

+ 2 years of healthcare experience

License/Certification:

+ American Heart Association CPR certification required

+ Certification from American Society of Anesthesia Technicians and Technologist school preferred
