We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Senior Tax Accountant to join our growing Public Accounting Firm. The successful candidate will be a key player in the financial operations of our clients, responsible for tax accounting, tax advisory, preparing and reviewing tax returns for various entities, and managing financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Responsibilities
Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
Provide tax advisory services, assisting clients in understanding and managing their tax obligations, and identifying opportunities for tax savings.
Maintain accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
Stay updated on current tax practices and changes in tax law, utilizing this knowledge to provide strategic tax planning and advice.
Collaborate with the finance team to ensure the accuracy of financial data and adherence to financial policies and regulations.
Participate in financial audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations for tax-related items.
Assist in the development and implementation of tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize profitability.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or Master's degree in Taxation is preferred.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in tax accounting, with a focus on preparing and reviewing tax returns for various entities.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and experience in preparing and reviewing financial statements.
Experience with international taxation is a plus.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts in a clear and concise manner.
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in tax software (UltraTax) Google Workspace.
