Company Overview: The BG Service Co., Inc. is an aerospace & industrial products manufacturer seeking an Operations Manager. BG is a leader in the development and manufacture of breakthrough ignition technologies for a wide range of applications.

Role Description: The Operations Manager is responsible for directing manufacturing operations for the company including issuing production orders, scheduling, and purchasing. This role also encompasses oversight of accounting, human resources, information systems, and other back-office functions.

Responsibilities: Schedule and prioritize production activities Issue production orders/work orders based on customer requirements and stocking needs Manage inventory levels to meet business requirements Perform data analysis to identify trends in material usage and forecast demand Create bills of material based off engineering drawings and specifications Coordinate activities of other teammates regarding customer communication, purchasing, and logistics Direct negotiations with vendors to achieve best pricing, delivery, and quality of purchased materials Oversee accounting operations and perform month-end/year-end processes Direct employee onboarding and offboarding activities Interface with other teams including sales, engineering, quality, and manufacturing Optimize business processes to improve efficiencies and leverage available technologies Manage internal company projects / strategic initiatives Provide oversight and/or directly execute accounting, human resources, information system functions Serve as endpoint of escalation for customer inquiries and issues Report directly to the President

A successful candidate should have … B.S. in an analytical or technical field such as accounting, engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, statistics, etc. M.B.A. or prior employment with a major consulting firm

(preferred) Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, including expert competency with Excel Prior experience with business process design and optimization Prior experience with MRP or ERP platforms Able to understand technical documentation, drawings, and specifications Understanding of general accounting principles Demonstrated leadership skills Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Must be highly motivated / self-starter Detail-oriented & organized Uncompromising integrity Familiarity with lean manufacturing
