Provide advice, expertise, and assistance to Government personnel in the areas of facility criteria and guide specifications, various technical submittal reviews, recommended resolutions for construction and/or engineering quality issues, assistance with new technology evaluations, assist with infrastructure surveys and inspections, and help develop transfer efforts into guidance and other special studies Provide support for facility project programming documents including scope verification, refinement, cost estimate reviews, editing/drafting revised documents. Travel will be required to the various Air Force bases (CONUS & OCONUS) Performs other job-related duties as assignedSenior Mechanical Engineer Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested: Minimum of 10 years of experience overseeing the development of sustainability program documents, technical specifications, design & construction documents, and application of building codes and DoD criteria governing sustainable design and construction. Accredited Associate's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related field; P.E. license preferred. Demonstrated expertise in sustainability reviews, federal sustainability reporting, annual real property reporting support, Annual Energy Management and Resilience Report (AEMRR) support and third-party certification support. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and effectively. Proven ability to lead and manage large-scale mechanical engineering projects with a focus on sustainability.
