The Senior Analyst, Market Planning will be contributing to Dine Brands' development growth, this role will interpret big data to guide real estate development strategy through comprehensive analysis, communicating growth opportunities across the system, and maintaining analytical tools that support decision making.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify growth opportunities by conducting market and competitive assessments
  • Provide strategic insights to optimizing market penetration
  • Monitor and analyze competitor activities, market share, and positioning to identify competitive strengths and weaknesses, and develop strategic recommendations
  • Conduct continuous market monitoring and analysis of trends, needs and other key variables; proactively recommend corrective action when appropriate
  • Provide high-level summaries that present complex details and insights in simplest form
  • Maintain strong knowledge of markets and understanding of Dine's coverage gaps, target markets, trends, projected home/work/retail growth, competition, and other factors that build real estate opportunities
  • Present compelling market opportunities with appropriate support materials to franchisees for development
  • Support new restaurant site packages at the Real Estate Committee with maps, aerials, demographics, competitor trends, and impact analysis
  • Estimate and analyze sales performance of new restaurants to ensure accurate forecasting
  • Liaise with technology teams to ensure data and mapping software are updated and accurate
  • Salary 90k+
Qualifications:
  • BS/BA degree in Geography/Real Estate/Urban Planning, or equivalent experience
  • Development related experience in retail / restaurant industry
  • Familiarity with mapping platforms, Salesforce, Microstrategy
  • Capability to address problems proactively and demonstrate a sense of urgency
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal and teaming skills
