The Network Strategy and Business Development team leads growth initiatives, including the strategy, affiliations and programs, for Boston Children's Hospital efforts to drive expanded Network presence and strengthen collaboration with healthcare systems across New England in support of expanding access to specialty pediatric care.

As a member of this high-performing team, the Senior Associate will provide analysis, business planning and program management to support the development and implementation of the hospital's network growth strategy. This will include the evaluation of various relationships, geographies and business activities to support of growth of revenue and referrals; implementation of new collaborations and initiatives; and ongoing program management for existing partners.

This Senior Associate, Network Strategy will:
  • Participate in business development activities to evaluate and structure relationships with external parties, taking ownership on portions of strategy development and partnership analysis. This includes implementation planning for new partners and ongoing relationship management with existing partners.
  • Provide decision support and insights for department and service line strategy, including program planning and development
  • Collect, analyze and summarize statistics to communicate trends and prepare recommendations to achieve specified goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with clinical and functional leaders across the enterprise to coordinate the design, implementation, and tracking of key strategic projects.
  • Provide project management of complex initiatives, including strategy execution and other cross-functional initiatives, from the project initiation phase through successful completion.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to build alignment on analytical challenges and solutions and shepherd broader change management efforts.
  • Provide operational support to existing partnerships and initiatives including joint leadership and oversight committees.
  • Collect and synthesize internal hospital data from primary and secondary research to develop solutions to complex strategy problems.
  • Gather intelligence on markets, competitors and patient dynamics through use of external market data and other resources.
  • Apply understanding of healthcare markets and stakeholders to identify opportunities for Boston Children's in targeted geographies.
  • Functions as a key administrative resource for information technology projects, including coordinating and liaising with technical experts, project teams, and external stakeholders.
  • Ensures information is complete and accurate; follows up with others to ensure that agreements and commitments have been fulfilled.
To qualify, you must have:
  • BA degree in business, healthcare or related field and minimum of 4 years of related experience. MA degree is preferred.
  • Skills to establish data analysis models and tools for analyzing qualitative or quantitative data to examine and evaluate data to manage and achieve results.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
  • Excellent writing, communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong relationship management skills and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders to build and maintain mutually-beneficial partnerships.
  • Qualitative and quantitative analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Ability to learn and navigate additional software systems related to data reporting, analysis, and visualization.
