Senior Accountant Opportunity – Temp to Hire
Are you an experienced accountant looking for an exciting temporary-to-hire role? Join our dynamic team and make an impact
Responsibilities:
Support monthly close processes in line with US GAAP, including journal entries, reconciliations, analysis, and internal controls documentation.
Assist with system and process enhancements (ERP, financial close, etc.).
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
Work closely with AR/AP for CAPEX and coding guidance, improving processes for efficiency.
Manage fixed assets and lease processes, identifying improvement areas.
Prepare audit schedules and support external audits.
Participate in SOX 404 compliance, enhancing internal controls and procedures.
Recommend process improvements through data analysis.
Become proficient in our systems and tools, leveraging them for efficiency.
Drive automation and other process improvements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
CPA certification is a plus.
4+ years of relevant experience (mix of private and public preferred), CPG or retail experience is a plus.
In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills.
Excellent communication skills, able to simplify complex financials.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables, data analysis, etc.).
Team player with a strong sense of ownership and integrity.
Open to honest conversations and continuous improvement.
