Essential DutiesSet-up and tear-down of tables, chairs, risers, stages and lighting equipment, sports equipment and other related equipment associated with the various facilitiesRepair and maintenance of facilities and equipment including minor carpentry and painting throughout the venues, office and parking areasOperate a variety of tools, equipment, and machinery such as forklifts, trucks, electric carts, small hand tools, and floor and carpet cleaning equipmentMay provide work direction to part-time or temporary workers or oversee event operationsBasic custodial cleaning and maintenance as neededRelated duties as assignedThe CommunityTacoma is a mid-sized port city that sits along the Puget Sound with a population of nearly 210,000. Working ConditionsWork is performed in indoor and outdoor environments at multiple sport and entertainment venues and is subject to adverse weather conditions, fumes/chemicals, lifting up to 75 pounds, standing, walking, stooping, crawling, and climbing a variety of equipment. Work Hours:Non-traditional work hours are required for this position. This position requires the employee to work on a variety of shifts, including day, swing and graveyard. Employees must be available and willing to work on any shift, and on any day of the week (including weekends and holidays).
