Reconciling expenditures and encumbrances with contracts on a periodic basis and resolving any discrepancies, bringing problems to the attention of the supervisor and identifying solutions. Keeping up to date on buying policies, procedures, and commodities by researching information, reviewing technical literature, inspecting samples, contacting vendors, and attending fairs and conferences. Assisting in the preparation of RFRs and bids for commodities not on contract; reviewing and evaluating bids against criteria, awarding contracts, and processing contract renewals. Providing training and educational assistance to DFS staff and vendors to ensure requests and purchases comply with policies and procedures. Performing related work as required, such as monitoring clients for glitches in procurements and notifying the supervisor of issues or problems, maintaining vendor files and databases, and providing assistance to other fiscal affairs staff as needed. #J-18808-Ljbffr
