Responsibilities SUMMARY :

This position is responsible for helping develop the cost standards on finished goods, review and reconcile raw inventory, assist in month end, assist in the preparation of the annual operating plan, and assist with plant KPI reporting. This position has the responsibility to comply with Safety work rules at all times as well as an obligation to reinforce Safety as a Core Value. Ensures that all policies, procedures and activities, related to Food Safety & Quality, are followed and complied with uniformly, in an effort to reduce product and process variability. ACTIVITIES : Responsible for the execution and accuracy of operating reporting throughout the month (trend, plant performance, consumption, labor, etc.) Monitor order variances throughput the month and act as a liaison between production and accounting to resolve discrepancies. Responsible for monitoring SAP inventories to ensure their accuracy. Activities include periodic cycle counts, researching and posting variances, monitoring SAP material movements and process order variances. Prepare and maintain standard cost estimates in SAP. Assist in the completion of the month-end close (journal entries, order settlement, monthly variance reporting, KPI reporting). Assist in the preparation of the annual operating plan. Responsible for master data set up: resources, materials, BOMs, and recipes. Assumes personal responsibility to insure safe and healthy workplace for everyone. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures and, incorporate safety and health in all jobs and tasks. Adhere to Quality work practices, follows GMP’s, maintains sanitary conditions and ensures that product quality is maintained. Reports to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety and quality. Ensure regulatory compliance at all times. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS : EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience. EXPERIENCE: Demonstrate skills in all aspects of financial accounting or reporting. Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with others. (Bilingual in Spanish a plus) Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills. Aptitude for effective and efficient utilization of computer technologies. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Word. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and in group situations. Ability to respond to questions from internal/external customers/vendors at all levels including management. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, fractions, ratios. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license a plus. Knowledge of SAP a plus.
