**Location:** St Crispin Village, Duston, Northampton, NN5 4RB

**The Role** Were looking for a Catering Assistant join our for over 55s, in Duston, Northampton. The scheme is near to the University of Northampton. This role is a casual working position, working approximately 3-4 shifts per week on a rota basis, including weekends, however, this may vary.

In this busy and varied role, youll work in and out of the kitchen, ensuring our residents receive an excellent catering service. Your time working in the onsite restaurant and bar will be spent taking orders, and serving meals and beverages. We offer a delivery service to our customers which means youll also be required to deliver meals to their onsite apartments too.

In the kitchen youll work under the direction of the Cook, supporting the service by preparing homemade light meals, printing food labels and menu sheets, and ensuring standards of cleanliness are upheld at all times.

St Crispin Village is one of our largest Retirement Villages where we cater for 45-50 meals each day, we also hold larger functions and events for our residents and the wider community which youll also be involved in.

We are looking for people who:

* Have experience of working in catering service

* Have a Food Safety Level 2 qualification or must be willing to obtain this within 6 months of employment

* Are confident in operating a basic till and cash handling

* Customer focused and motivated to deliver a consistently high level of service
