Pay Rate - 53/hr.
Schedule - Please indicate which your candidate prefers. (This is not guaranteed.)
1. Tuesday-Saturday 8am-4:30pm CST
2. Sunday-Thursday 8am-4:30pm CST
3. Monday-Friday 9:30am-6pm CST

Experience as a Prior Authorization Pharmacist is required. Must have experience reviewing and processing cases at a PBM.
Prior authorization experience in a retail or hospital environment will not meet requirements for this position.

Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Prior Authorization Pharmacist to join our remote team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharmacy practice, excellent communication skills, and a passion for optimizing patient care through effective prior authorization processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and process prior authorization requests for prescription medications in accordance with company policies and guidelines.
- Evaluate clinical information to make determinations on prior authorization requests.
- Communicate with healthcare providers, patients, and insurance companies to gather necessary information and provide status updates on prior authorization requests.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations and standards.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of prior authorization activities.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging medications and therapies.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree or equivalent.
- Active pharmacist license in good standing with the state board of pharmacy.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a pharmacy setting, preferably in a managed care or prior authorization role.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology, therapeutics, and clinical guidelines.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a remote environment.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) and prior authorization software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a remote or telehealth setting.
- Certification in pharmacotherapy or other clinical specialties.
- Familiarity with insurance and healthcare payer processes.
