Axos Bank is seeking an experienced, product-oriented .NET and MuleSoft Developer - Technical Lead, to join our software engineering team and enhance our client experience. This development group is focused on building the next generation of our online banking application, integrating various financial services into a seamless platform. The role involves full-stack .NET development, MuleSoft integration, and vendor API integration, with a focus on building new capabilities and enhancing existing products. Our roadmap includes migrating the platform to microservices-based containers on any cloud platform.

This position can be 100% remote or on-site at any of our locations, including San Diego, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Kansas City, and Omaha.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with IT leadership to define and build functional and non-functional requirements across the enterprise portfolio.
  • Lead one or more development teams of near-shore or local developers.
  • Design and prototype enterprise-wide solutions with a focus on security, performance, continuous integration, and code quality (unit and integration tests).
  • Integrate MuleSoft to streamline connectivity between our applications and external systems.
  • Communicate and collaborate with other leads, development teams, and development managers
  • Identify and implement opportunities to continuously improve Axos' development capabilities
  • Refactor the codebase to realize just-in-time design within the contextual design
  • Work closely and communicate proactively and effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 5+ years' of full-stack .NET development experience, developing web services (REST/SOAP) and integrating with vendor APIs
  • 3+ years' of experience with MuleSoft, including designing and implementing integrations using the MuleSoft platform
  • 1+ year's managing or leading technical resources
  • Experience working with geographically dispersed teams
  • Proficiency with the following technologies: .NET framework, C#, LINQ, NUGET package building, SQL Server, RabbitMQ, Swagger Docs
  • Proven ability to design and implement responsive Single Page Applications (SPAs)
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodology/concepts
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both technical and non-technical
  • Strong work ethic, comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with the ability to independently manage a workload with multiple priorities
  • Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and design patterns
  • Understanding of iPaaS solutions (MuleSoft, Azure Integration Service, Workato, etc.)
