Basic Job Functions:

The Associate Sales Service Manager (ASSM) will be responsible for taking care of our team and supporting our customers as part of the Verco Leadership Team. This role involves continuously improving our safety, quality, costs, productivity, and profitability. The ASSM will serve on the Manager Team at Verco, providing daily leadership to post-sales and logistics teammates, building meaningful customer relationships, and ensuring the integrity of our schedule. The ASSM is expected to develop strong relationships with both internal and external customers, demonstrate the values of the Nucor culture, and be willing to work a flexible schedule.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Strong commitment to safety
  • Minimum 2 years of leadership experience
  • Manager Recommendation
  • Willing and able to travel frequently
  • Willing to relocate in 1-2 years for advancement within Nucor

  • Accountability – Takes responsibility for action or inaction; ability to constructively hold teammates and customers accountable
Preferences:
  • 2+ years of experience in the steel industry
  • 3+ years of sales or customer service experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
