Job Summary
The Director People Ops / HR is a culture champion who promotes Ayr Wellness values to guide decision-making and drive thoughtful and effective change management in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrating functional and strategic expertise, the Director People Ops / HR is seen as coach and trusted advisor to business leaders and client groups and builds and implements initiatives and overall process improvements to deliver results.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Coach, lead, and develop a team of HR Managers / Generalists that support our Grow / Make (cultivation & manufacturing) teams.
- Proactively manage employee relations, complaint resolution, investigations, and partner with appropriate company legal staff as necessary.
- Provide advice on interpretation of collective bargaining agreements, and arbitrate grievances.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and cost-effective solutions.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements, company policies, and best practices related to Human Resources function.
- Partner with Director of Operations to provide guidance in the areas of employee / labor relations, performance management, development and coaching, and succession planning.
- Drive leadership to understand, own and measure their DE&I accountability through coaching and consulting to the greater DE&I strategy
- Leverage data and analytics to help drive insights and performance metrics
- Minimum of 10+ years of progressive HR Management experience in a union and non-union environment
- Expertise in employee/labor relations
- Outstanding process and people management skills with proven ability to solve complex problems, manage cross-functional projects, and implement objectives-based solutions.
