What does a Business Systems Analyst do?

In this position within the DNA Loans Development team, you will work to identify and assist with the software development process by defining and documenting software requirements and reviewing and testing the developed software to ensure that it functions correctly, meets our software development standards, and fulfills agreed to requirements with stakeholders.

What You Will Do

Ensures quality design and delivery of DNA/Commercial loan IQ related projects and maintenance items focused on Bank and Credit Union lending Works with internal stakeholders such as Product Management, Client Care and Compliance, as well as Bank and Credit Union clients, to clearly define and document business problems Communicates business requirements and proposed solutions to both internal and external stakeholders Assists with diagnosis/troubleshooting of reported problems pertaining to the software developed team Determines how to best implement required changes by working with Development staff, Product Managers, Quality Assurance staff and other Business Analysts Creates business requirements documentation with sufficient detail to enable application developers to complete programming Tests and validates developed software solutions to ensure the completed product matches with the business requirements and expected functionality Confirms user documentation effectively conveys the information needed to successfully use a feature

What You Will Need To Have

3 to 5 years of business experience within the Banking and/or Credit Union industries...specifically in the areas of Commerical Loan Servicing, Loan Operations or Loan Origination is a MUST 3+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Process including agile methodologies Experience conducting preliminary analysis and estimations for new product feature requests Experience in writing requirement documents for application development Ability to write high quality requirements that are easily consumable by the application team Familiarity in writing test plans and software testing Excellent verbal and written communication skills as this position requires extensive communication between technical and non-technical audiences Must be self-directed and highly motivated with the ability to work independently as well as with a team Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously

What Would Be Great To Have

Experience with Consumer, Mortgage and Commercial Loan Products Familiarity with the Fiserv/Open Solutions DNA Core Banking System is preferred but not required Experience with core banking systems Experience working with Loan Payment Processing, Investor Reporting, Escrow Analysis, Loan Billing and Loan Modification. Experience reviewing and understanding the business process surrounding a client bank’s requested modifications. Experience assisting or leading in root cause analysis of issues Experience in recommending product enhancements or other appropriate actions to improve feature offerings Experience utilizing systems and data to resolve business issues in the most effective manner Experience providing financial or operational business related analysis and research to support business goals Experience with SQL, Jira and Confluence
