The Associate Director of Student Conduct reports to the Director of Student Conduct within Student Affairs and is a team member of Student Conduct. The Associate Director will serve as the point of contact in the absence of the Director. They have responsibilities for supporting the daily functioning of Student Conduct in serving as a Hearing Officer, advising the Conduct Board, completing disciplinary history requests, and participating in education and programming initiatives designed to meet the needs of the student body and the larger University community.
This position will serve as a liaison to graduate and professional schools and programs and serve as a primary university investigator for student organizational misconduct. This position requires the exercise of sound discretion in the advising and training of students, faculty, and staff; the implementation of complex University policies; and the recording and collection of data and information concerning students used for reporting purposes at the University, state, and federal levels.
This position encompasses a wide variety of crisis response and management, counseling, education, research, and supervisory duties in the areas of case and program management, outreach activities, training, and building relationships across the campus community. The position is charged with working as a part of a team and providing leadership for implementing the student conduct process for applicable University policy. Student Conduct is responsible for overseeing and adjudicating violations that fall within the purview of the Student Code of Conduct, including the alcohol policy, through Student Conduct Procedures.
