**Transportation Specialist

Department:** New Start/RPG Grant

**Job Status:** Full Time

**Reports To:** RPG Project Director

**Work Schedule:** Full time, 40 hours per week

**POSITION SUMMARY**Coordinate ongoing participant transportation needs with the Womens Coordinator and Case Managers and perform safe, efficient transportation for participants.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS STATEMENT(S)**

**Program**

- Coordinate ongoing participant transportation needs with the Womens Coordinator and Case Managers.

- Perform safe, efficient transportation for participants and children via agency vehicles to medical appointments, legal appointments, special events, etc.

- Ensure that participants and children follow proper safety procedures.

- Help create a welcoming atmosphere that is participant oriented and friendly.

- Report any concerns to Womens Coordinator.

- Monitor basic maintenance of agency vehicles and coordinate vehicle maintenance needs with the Facilities Manager.

- Keep required records of vehicle use.

- Participate in ongoing training as required.

- Perform other duties as assigned.

**POSITIONS QUALIFICATIONS

SKILLS & ABILITIES**

**Education:** High School Diploma or GED required.

**Experience:** Experience with transporting individuals.

**Skills:** Excellent verbal communication skills.

**Certifications & Licenses:** Valid South Dakota drivers license, with three years clear driving record and proof of liability insurance required.

**Other Requirements:** Must pass all applicable background checks. Able to lift a minimum of 60 pounds.

**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**

- Ability to Stand, Walk, sit, manually manipulate, reach outward and above shoulders, speak, climb, crawl, squat, kneel, and bend on a daily basis

- Capability to Lift, carry, push or pull up to 100 lbs on a daily basis
