User Services Specialist The User Services Specialist provides high quality customer service to the campus community by facilitating the usage of the librarys collections as well as supervising and aiding in the professional development of a team of student employees. This includes but is not limited to: Oversight of building security and safety issues and management of building facility issues during acting supervisor shifts. Training, hiring, and supervision of student assistants and assisting with professional development opportunities. Coordinating with department peers and supervisor on the following: stacks management; inventory; equipment/technology lending; student employee training and retention; customer service standards, and collaborative projects with other library and university departments. Maintaining private and sensitive information and executing a high level of discretion and judgment. Assisting library users and providing resolutions for customer service and circulation issues. This position will support the Reference/Service desk at the WSU Davis Campus Library as needed. Some User Services Specialists work primarily weekend and/or evening hours.
