The Private Client Services (PCS) practice provides exceptional personal compliance and business tax planning services to partnerships, heads of families, family businesses, private equity fund owners, and high net worth individuals. Our expertise includes services associated with owning, managing, and preserving businesses and wealth, including asset protection, family government services, estate and succession planning, sensitive wealth transfers, and philanthropic planning. As a Tax Director, you will: Work with clients and firm partners to determine engagement objectives and coordinate resources to meet such objectives. Develop engagement budgets, coordinate required resources, bill engagements, and manage performance against stated objectives to ensure that client deliverables and firm objectives are met. Provide guidance to ensure that engagement risks are identified and appropriate responses are taken. Conduct timely on-site reviews and provide feedback on the work of other tax personnel. Address complex tax and accounting issues, review finished tax deliverables for accuracy, and ensure timely client communications. Provide the engagement partner with timely status updates and involve them in resolving client service, tax, or accounting issues. Wrap up tax engagements in a timely and economic manner. Focus on areas of technical specialization and provide executive-level guidance and consultation. Lead a team that provides tax and consulting services to flow-through entities and their related owners. Plan to minimize tax costs incurred by employers and mitigate international employees’ tax liabilities. Mentor managers and senior managers and contribute to overall office efficiency. Identify opportunities for expanded services to clients. Manage a network of decision-makers and foster long-term business development opportunities. Perform other essential duties as needed. What you bring to the role: Minimum of 10 years of experience in public accounting. Bachelor's degree in accounting; Master's preferred. An active CPA license. Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills. Ability to lead and develop Tax Staff, Seniors, Managers, and Senior Managers. Experience preparing complex federal corporate, multi-state, individual, and partnership returns. Basic knowledge of financial services products. Strong understanding of IRS practice and procedure.
