JOB SUMMARY Currently seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. Duties include completing monthly accounting records, preparing journal entries, and guiding clerical staff while abiding GAAP guidelines. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Ensure timeliness of the month end close process and completeness and accuracy of accounting records in accordance with US GAAP. Perform and properly document general journal entries. Perform balance sheet reconciliations and financial statements for month end close. Partner with Purchasing and Supply Chain department to validate and audit product cost on vendor invoices. Calculate labor and overhead allocations. Maintain Fixed Asset Schedules. Compile annual personal property information by location/entity. Monitor internal control procedures. Prepare audit selections and workpapers for auditor review. Produce ad hoc reporting as requested. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines, policies and procedures, and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Must have at least 3-6 years of accounting experience. Experience in the construction industry preferred. Advanced MS Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) demonstrated on resume. Financial analysis skills and working knowledge of US GAAP. Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning systems.
