Responsibilities:
Oversees all aspects of mechanical design activities ranging from small component improvement to new platform definitions.
Supervises a team of mechanical engineers, assigns, schedules and tracks their tasks and ensures timely, high-quality execution.
Interfaces with vendors and suppliers both for product release and prototype development.
Oversees the workflow of the HW release process. Represents Mechanical Engineering in the Hardware Change Control Board and helps the HW Director in prioritizing and executing the tasks.
Follows the product development from concept to productization. Actively participates in conceptual and detailed design work as well as vendor development and supplier management.
Requirements:
BS / MS / PhD in mechanical engineering
5+ years of management experience
Experience in complex system design, vendor management and product release.
Previous experience with Semiconductor Capital equipment a plus.
