As a Design Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for designing and analyzing digital and analog circuits used in the development of memory products. We are engaged in developing groundbreaking silicon-to-systems solutions – right from technology development and advanced memory designs to product development, systems design and validation resulting in world-class memory solutions. In this position, you will collaborate with Micron’s various design and verification teams all over the world and support the efforts of groups such as Product Engineering, Test, Probe, Process Integration, Assembly and Marketing to proactively design products that optimize all manufacturing functions and assure the best cost, quality, reliability, time-to-market, and customer satisfaction. We are looking for an analog circuit designer to be a part of a design team targeting critical circuits common to all DRAM related memory products. In this position, you will be responsible for power delivery network evaluation and optimization of DRAM designs, as well as design and optimization block level power generators. Use of both analog and digital CMOS design skills is needed to work on the analog circuits you would be responsible for. You will also be responsible for working with Product Engineering to verify silicon performance vs simulation performance of circuits you design. Additionally, you will work with Process integration and transistor modeling personnel in designing the circuits to be used on Micron's next groundbreaking process node. Additional Job Description: Performs semiconductor design engineering assignments including engineering and designing chip layout circuits, circuit checking, documenting specifications, modifying and evaluating semiconductor devices and components. Reviews product requirements and logic diagrams for device definition. Typically responsible for projects, or portions of projects, to design, fabricate, modify, and evaluate semiconductor devices and components. Your qualifications include, but are not limited to: A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering w/4+ years of relevant experience or Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering and 2+ years of experience; position title depends on the candidate’s background/years of experience. Both analog and digital design and simulation experience required. Power delivery network related circuit design and optimization experience required. Proficiency with UNIX and CADENCE design environment (Simulation, Schematic entry, SPF extraction). Experience with circuit verification and optimization including layout verification and parasitic extractions of the circuits. Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to other design peers both verbally and in writing. The ability to work independently and in teams. Understanding of device physics and basic CMOS processing techniques preferred. Experience with PERL (or other scripting languages) is a plus. Highly motivated and self-starter. Multi-tasking ability is a must for an analog circuit designer as we work with all product types (commodity, mobile, graphics) and product teams in parallel with silicon validation efforts.
