They are the ones who show our families why they should choose Goldfish Swim School week after week, making learning (and work) FUN As an Assistant General Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the success of our swim lessons by managing and motivating a successful team, coordinating and reviewing class schedules and ensuring you have a school that’s set up for success at every lesson. You’ll guide new team members and families through their first days at Goldfish and be there to support them as they progress in our program and in life. O-fish-ial Summary: Oversees the quality and success of Goldfish Swim School daily operations including staffing, pool operations, cash management, customer service, retail and vending department, private party operations and workplace employee activities. Perks and Benefits: Guaranteed base salary starting at $55,000 Bonus structure up to $3,000 per quarter, based on set goals Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401k program with employer matching Paid Holidays, Paid Time Off, and Vacation Days Monthly phone stipend Company issued laptop for business use Paid training and lifeguard certification Free swim lessons for children and siblings Culture-driven company who practices our core values as much as we practice our swim skills Your success in this role will be measured by your ability to: Provide a positive staff culture from day 1 and offer open, honest communication in a positive and nurturing environment Build a team who provides the same quality work as you and do quality work yourself by cross-training in multiple roles, substituting when necessary and representing Goldfish Swim School’s core values Make the right decisions and treat people with integrity, compassion, and trust Create a workplace that provides fundamental job and life skills for those looking to expand their careers Direct and control daily operations to ensure the school is running according to Goldfish Swim School’s standard operating procedures Provide sales and marketing training to staff and stay on track with quarterly and annual enrollment goals Create and implement a plan of action when quarterly and annual goals are off track Gain high-level competency in class bookings, scheduling, reporting and administrative functions as well as the Goldfish Swim School curriculum, swim lesson quality standards and safety standards What else do you need to know? Everyone in our building is lifeguard CPR & AED certified, so you must be able to swim, passing a basic swim test (50 yards) to earn your certification. All management team members will also obtain their Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification. You will direct and oversee the implementation of the Emergency Action Plan (EAP) and all safety procedures for the school. We require schedule availability that includes some weekday evenings (until 8:30pm) and at least one weekend (Saturday or Sunday) shift per workweek and the ability to work the same scheduled days every week (e.g., every Monday from 8:30-4:30).
