Local welding and fabrication shop is looking for a Quality Welding Technician to join their team. This position works Mon-Fri 5:00 A.M.- 1:30 P.M. Pay rate will be $17-$18/hour depending on experience. Quality Welding Tech will be in charge of overseeing all aspects of quality control on the reconditioning process of couplers, yokes, bolsters and side frames along with any further applicable reconditioned materials. Quality Welding tech participates in scheduled and unscheduled inspections to verify that products, at various stages of processing, conform to the requirements as defined by the customer and/or internal requirements. Duties: 1. Required to learn and follow current QA Manual along with the guidelines of the AAR M-1003 Certification and M-212/M-214 while being able to update any new standards and practices released by the AAR. 2. Required to train new employees on the QA practices of the company under the guidance of Director of Operations and additional Management. 3. Required to prepare for and execute all AAR audits along with necessary adjustments to any particular findings. Apply now Qualifications: 1. Must know how to use Calipers, Micrometers, Tape Measure / Steel Rule, Depth Gages and Surface Finish Gages. 2. Understands sense of urgency 3. Calculator (perform basic functions) 4.
