Overview:

ELCO Chevrolet Cadillac is currently searching for a Parts Specialist to assist the dealership's Parts Department. The Parts Specialist/Picker Packer is responsible for the receipt, stocking, sorting, and delivery of automotive parts and accessories. This position requires careful attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to working on a team. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:15 am to 5 pm with weekly pay, paid holidays, and no weekends This is a union position, so monthly dues are required along with an initiation fee.

Responsibilities:

The Parts Specialist/Picker Packer responsibilities include:

  • Receive and unpack both ground and air mail delivered auto parts.
  • Assist the Service Technicians with ordering, returning, and retrieving auto parts.
  • Properly sort and stock received parts.
  • Take routine inventory of all received parts and audit current stocked items.
  • Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records.
  • Examine and inspect containers, materials, and products in order to ensure that packing specifications are met.
  • Mark and label containers, container tags, or products, using marking tools.
  • Prepare shipping and receiving paperwork on multiple items.
  • File copies of orders received, or post orders on records.
  • Seal containers or materials, using glues, fasteners, nails, and hand tools.
  • Answer phones and take messages as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Must have a valid drivers license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on driving record in the past 3 years.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • No drug or alcohol related conviction on driving record in the past 3 years (DUI/DWI)
  • Must be willing to take a preemployment drug screening test.
  • Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs with extensive sitting, walking, standing, and crouching.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
  • Previous parts or warehousing experience a plus but not required.
  • Must be able to work Monday through Friday, 8:15 am to 5 pm.
