St. Louis Learning Disabilities Association (LDA) is seeking part-time or full-time certified School Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, or Licensed Professional Counselors with a passion for improving the lives of children and families to join our team.

In addition to administering and interpreting a number of cognitive, diagnostic, and behavioral assessments for students of all ages, candidates will synthesize assessment results and relay results in an understandable manner to parents and school personnel through both written reports and individualized meetings.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

* School Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor, or other educational specialist who has received specific training/certification to administer and interpret cognitive, diagnostic, and behavioral assessments
* Minimum of Master's Degree
* Five or more years of experience

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following skills:

* A passion for helping children/adolescents and families, while making a difference in the community
* The ability to work with students of all ages - elementary through college
* Strong interpersonal skills, easily builds rapport with children/adolescents, parents, educators, and peers
* Strong written skills for the completion of in-depth reports and other written communication
* Strong organizational and time-management skills
* Analytical understanding of children/adolescents
* Understands developmental stages (learning and behavioral) of children/adolescents
* Experience in educational setting - teaching methodology, interventions, classroom management
* Possesses knowledge of underlying processing issues which interfere with learning
* Innovative thinker
* Diagnostic interviewing techniques
* Possesses and demonstrates knowledge of administration and interpretation of individualized cognitive, diagnostic, and behavioral assessments
* Integrates assessment results with observations and input from others to develop an understanding of how the student learns/processes information
* Ability to identify strengths and areas to develop
* Synthesizes assessment results and develops a plan of action
* Relays results of assessments in an understandable manner to parents, school personnel
* This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
* This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to move files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary.
