EchoStar has an exciting opportunity for a Financial Analyst to support its North America Consumer Finance department. This position would be located at our headquarters in Germantown, MD.

We are looking for a candidate with a strong financial analysis background who thrives in a fast-paced and demanding environment. The successful candidate must also have strong communication skills and be able to interact well with all levels within the Company.

Responsibilities:

Primarily provide all aspects of financial support to the North America Consumer business group
Proactively participate and provide leadership in consumer's close, forecasting, reporting, and annual budget processes
Proactively study financial and business data, identify trends and issues, and provide in-depth analysis to assist senior management in understanding business performance on a timely basis
Promptly respond to senior management's inquiries on financial analysis or ad hoc requests
Assists both external and internal auditors to ensure successful completion of all audits and reviews timely.
Proactively seek ways to improve existing reporting/forecasting/budgeting processes

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities

Basic Requirements:

Bachelor's degree Accounting, Finance, Business Management or related field
2-5 years' experience performing variance analysis and reporting.

Preferred Requirements:

MS degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance
Strong Excel & Financial Modeling Skills
Superior analytical and problem-solving skills; attention to detail
Experience using SAP General Ledger and Hyperion
Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Certified Public Accountant
Highly skilled in financial statements
Will be eligible for discretionary bonus, with funding based on company performance.
