* Accountable for agreed store standards; identifying and driving improvements where necessary

* Responsible for ensuring maximum availability is achieved at all times

* Daily monitoring of stock at risk

* Undertake quality reviews

* Managing performance through the setting of stretching objectives, and monitoring and reviewing performance by holding regular 1:1s

* Lead, coach and guide the supervisory team with a view to continuous performance improvement

* Support the team to deal effectively with customer complaints and queries

* Accountable for ensuring high hygiene standards and maintained through the store and warehouse areas including ensuring all areas are clutter free

* Responsibility for all HR activities/issues within the store

* Overseeing pricing, merchandising and legal compliance with Food Safety controls

* Maximising and protecting profitability and motivating store colleagues to deliver the same

* Ensuring compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental controls at all times

* Ensure Brand Integrity is maintained

* Regular review of colleague hours ensuring the right hours are in place to effectively run the store

* Working collaboratively with Regional Managers to influence promotional activity

* Effectively communicate with Head Office

* Take a hands-on role to lead the store where necessary and whilst on duty

* Ensuring that all relevant Health and Safety procedures are always followed and encouraging colleagues to do the same

* Active reporting of Health and Safety near misses and encouraging colleagues to do the same

* Ensure training for all colleagues is carried out and recorded accurately

* Undertake regular stock takes and audits

* Be a gatekeeper for the store

* Clearing the exceptions on the Time and Attendance system within the agree time frames

* Commercial awareness and understand the impact of decision on performance

* Be a natural leader with drive and enthusiasm to deliver results

* Produce pro-active plans that help support business and team objectives

* Proven leadership experience and the ability to motivate and coach others

* Be hands on, with the ability to gain credibility and trust

* Ability to plan, prioritise and organise workloads, according to the overall objectives and strategy for the operation

* Food Safety Level 2 required, Level 3 is desirable

* The capability to work under pressure and be able to multi task across different priorities

* Experience in colleague management, such as managing absence and conduct issues

* Experience in colleague development, through using performance review processes and people development plans

* Be fully flexible

* Have an open and honest and positive attitude

* A strong desire to deliver results and be the best

* Ensure that brand integrity is maintained
