Position Summary: This position reports to the Assistant Head of School for Strategy and Operations and will function as an innovator and a designer as the school develops its use of technology. The Director of Technology is responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, and management of all technology initiatives across the school’s three campuses. This role requires a visionary leader with a strong technical background and a passion for leveraging technology to enhance teaching, learning, and administrative operations. Responsibilities: Develop and implement a comprehensive technology strategy aligned with the school’s mission and goals. Oversee the management and maintenance of all technology infrastructure, including hardware, software, and networks. Build and lead a high-performing technology team of several members. Collaborate with faculty and staff to integrate technology effectively into the curriculum and administrative processes. Manage technology budgets, procure hardware and software, and negotiate contracts. Ensure the security and privacy of school data and systems. Stay current with technology trends and industry best practices. Provide technical support to faculty, staff, and students. Manage technology projects from inception to completion. Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Manage Google Workspace environment, including user provisioning, security, and compliance. Oversee vendor relationships and manage the performance of managed services. Qualifications: Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field preferred. Minimum of five years of experience in a technology leadership role in an educational setting. Proven ability to manage and lead a technical team. Strong understanding of educational technology trends and best practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong project management and organizational skills.
