The Opportunity

The Director of Hospitality Revenue and Reservations is responsible for becoming a key business partner, establishing, and executing a vision and strategy to develop innovative business intelligence solutions across Hospitality. This position oversees the successful management of Central Reservations activities for Hotel, Golf, Dining, and Events, ensuring optimal guest service satisfaction. The role requires expertise in metrics and analysis to streamline processes and increase revenues for the Hospitality Department.

In this role, you will utilize your management skills and knowledge of hotel operations to maximize revenue and bottom-line profits for the business. You'll establish goals to consistently achieve or exceed forecasts for room revenue, occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR. You will implement yield management techniques to maximize revenues by coordinating with departments and selecting the most profitable mix of demand for the given capacity in rooms and other resort and casino amenities.

  • Establish and execute a vision for the delivery of business intelligence information and analytics solutions to key stakeholders.
  • Design and develop weekly, monthly, and quarterly dashboards and reporting for the team and present insights. Work closely with various stakeholders to define the information needed and how best to present it.
  • Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, evaluates dashboards to drive key business outcomes. Support business customers, gathering requirements and delivering complete reporting solutions.
  • Design, develop, evaluate, and oversee performance of hospitality systems for efficient operations and maximum profitability. Explore data and make recommendations to increase profitability within the department.
  • Evaluate key metrics to uncover trends and root causes of issues, while developing alternative solutions for consideration. Develop narratives that are derivatives from examining business trends, patterns, and outliers through rich visualizations.
  • Interface with other Department Leaders with all aspects of their operations.
  • Recommend and build new metrics that enable better perspective on business efficiencies and Guest satisfaction.
  • Serve as the expert on revenue management for the Company's portfolio of products and amenities.
  • Monitor and manage market segments in the short and near term to achieve budgeted revenue to include coordinating revenue management recommendations with hotel, direct marketing, and player development.
  • Facilitate the flow of information with the hotel, central reservations, direct marketing, and player development, staying in constant contact with key stakeholders as to market segments per day.
  • Ensure that all target market segments are developed for the long-term benefit of the business.
  • Accountable for property occupancy through property assessment, competitive evaluation, pricing, direct sales involvement, promotion, and marketing efforts.
  • Work with the team to promote internal sales and the upselling of all facilities.
  • Ensure all daily, weekly, and monthly revenue management reports are up to date and are completed. Ensure all distribution channels (Central Reservations, website, OTAs) have up-to-date property information and are accurately selling.
  • Prepare the annual room statistics and assist in other sections on the Business Plan production. Assist department with budgets and budget forecasting.
  • Host Revenue Strategy Meetings to communicate strategy and develop corrective action for dip dates.
  • Formulate and execute pricing, inventory, and stay control strategies for transient rooms based on group business, demand forecasts and competitive shops to maximize WPOR and revenue / Rev / Par.
  • Manage CRS and related processes:
    • Oversee and monitor relations with third party vendors regarding hotel, golf, Dining, and Event Reservations.
    • Maintaining appropriate associate staffing levels and supervision within the department.
    • Ensures that all group sales and convention requests are handled promptly and accurately. Follows through with all bookings to ensure accuracy and satisfaction.
    • Develop and maintain processes to enhance the guest call center experience.
    • Manage rate plans, packages, offers and building of all system data.
  • Guides and supports Central Reservations Coordinators in daily responsibilities.

What Qualifies You
  • Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality, Business or Finance or related degree and five (5) years' experience in hotel operations, hotel revenue management, call center or an equivalent combination of related educations and experience required.
  • Must be able to secure license from Gaming Regulatory Authority (GRA).
  • Responsible for following all relevant Detailed Gaming Regulations (DGR's).
  • Mille Lacs Band Member and American Indian preference will be exercised in the hiring process.
