SUMMARY OF THE POSITION

The Associate HR Specialist will support the Lead Recruiter. The purpose of the role is to support and administer Recruiting best practices and objectives that provide an exceptional candidate experience by providing timely communication, efficient hiring process and attention to detail. The Associate HR Specialist will need to effectively multi-task by coordinating activities, assisting in managing candidates in an applicant tracking system and driving efficiency throughout the hiring/onboarding processes. This position will also support other HR processes throughout the year such as DEI strategies, employee engagement and learning & development programs.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Perform tasks to facilitate the hiring process such as opening requisitions, creating job postings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and initiating candidate onboarding

Assist with candidate sourcing in LinkedIn Recruiter or other tools

Assist in career and intern fairs

Assist with facilitation of the intern program. Including manager training, event scheduling, onboarding, recruiting efforts, and intern experience

Assist in contractor management

Assist in immigration correspondences

Run ad hoc reports and organize and interpret data to support our various talent initiatives

Perform related work as apparent or assigned, keeping supervisor informed of important developments, potential problems, and related information necessary for effective candidate management

Participate in DEI strategy as it relates to talent attraction

Coordinate with HR Associate with new hires

Assist with creation of prestart date engagement and communications process

May conduct phone screens on occasion or coordinate informational interviews

Other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU BRING TO THIS ROLE

A bachelors degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience

Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills

High level integrity, ethics and confidentiality

Ability to handle sensitive confidential information with discretion

Highly organized and great attention to detail

Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Takes initiative and has a passion for process improvement.
