The

Chief Financial Officer

is responsible for the organization’s financial operations. They will oversee managing budgets, establishing policies, financial decision-making, controlling margins and debts, and making decisions regarding the organization’s assets and resources with a focus on strategic planning, stability, and growth. The individual will also be tasked with contract negotiations with payors, providers, vendors, and service contracts. They must be well versed with patient accounting, collections, insurance company processes, and the utilization review cycle. Experience with credentialing providers on insurance panels is also important. In addition, this individual will oversee employee benefits management and administration of retirement plan. Tax management and remittance.

As a key member of the organization, this role will report directly to the CEO. It is important that this individual works collaboratively cross-departmentally to share information and build awareness of the financial health of the organization. The individual will also manage the finance department and serve on various committees in the organization.

Monday-Friday: 8:00am-5:00pm with some occasional nights and weekends and the ability to respond if needed since our facility is open 24 hours a day.

MBA in Finance, Accounting, or Business required.

Two years’ senior management experience required.

CPA preferred.

Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct, and evaluate the function and performance of all aspects of the organization’s financial performance.

Provide executive leadership and support to the leaders across the Fellowship Hall continuum.

Actively participate and serve as a member of the Leadership Team in the modeling, oversight, and direction of the organization to achieve the Strategic Plan, Mission, Vision, and Values of Fellowship Hall.

Assure and oversee the preparation and Board approval of the annual operating and capital budgets.

Assure and oversee ongoing reviews and enhancements of written policies and procedures, internal controls, and management processes for all functional areas to improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the organization.

Assure and oversee preparation of regular financial and cash forecasts to ensure the organization is able to maintain adequate liquidity and to manage capital resources to support the long-term sustainability of Fellowship Hall.

Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the organization, e.g., evaluation of potential alliances, risk management, retirement funds and investments, introduction of new programs/strategies, and regulatory action.

Provide and present timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports, and financial trends in order to assist the CEO, the Board of Directors, and other directors in performance of their responsibilities.

Assure that Board Committees relevant to each functional area are fully informed and supported, including presentation of financial statements to the Finance Committee and the annual audit to the Board of Directors.

Provide technical financial advice and knowledge to others within the organization.

Maintain relationships with banks, investment advisors, lenders, and other key stakeholders in the best interests of Fellowship Hall.

Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs.

Provide advice and counsel on any contracts, transactions, or other endeavors into which the organization may enter.

Previous duties in a similar role in the health care sector.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Must be computer literate and familiar with most Microsoft products and network components.

Ability to look at situations from several points of view

Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative management style

A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace

Knowledge of non-profit operation

Ability to delegate responsibility effectively.

Excellent organization, reporting, and planning skills

Previous experience in a management role in the non-profit sector.

Strong public speaking background.

Excellent presentation skills
