Job Description Job Description Salary:Summary/Objective: Promotes the company mission statement by assisting Project Managers and Superintendents as part of a team who work together to create a safe work environment, build a quality project, keep projects on schedule while earning a fair and reasonable profit.Essential Functions:Learning what it means to be the main contact for the project at the jobsiteLearning how to oversee the project to assist in proper project These involve the following: SchedulingDeliveryLogistics, Staging & PhasingQuality ControlEmployee staffing levelsAbility to communicate with Owner and Architect/Engineer relating to field issues Understanding issues and assisting in resolving issuesKnowing the proper time to involve Owners and Arc/EngineersDemonstrate leadership regarding Harper BIG 5: Safety/SOARDeliveryLogistics, Staging & PhasingQuality ControlEmployee staffing levelsUnderstand and uphold the Project Safety RequirementsEnsure Harper safety requirements are explained, implemented, and demonstrated Project specific safety pre-planningCoordinate with Safety Manager to develop a project-site specific SOAR Orientation DocumentSoar Implementation if allowing other Harper staff to conduct orientations ensure proper message and execution of the documentOSHA standards are understood and followed based on the actions of workers on the jobPerforming weekly Toolbox Talks with all active tradesConduct Safety Stand down Training as necessaryParticipates in the timely and effective investigations of all incidents including injuries, property damage, behavioral issues and near missesConduct weekly site safety inspections in ProcoreAssist the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendents to create Schedules as well as determining sequencing of workUnderstand project QAQC QA example: Pre-installation meetingsQC example: Visual and documents inspections of work in placeLearning to oversee the coordination of all trade partners Project site specific logistics/use including associated rulesScheduling of each trade (who goes where and when to start)Developing and implementing recovery strategies to maintain project scheduleClarity of design versus installation (RFIs)Schedule for the trades (durations and commitments of durations)Crosstrain with Field Engineers and field staff to ensure staff development This includes multiple trade partner personnelAbility to manage timesheets for field staffAbility to manage and completing all daily reportsManage all jobsite equipmentDevelop and implement working relationship with Safety ManagerRecognize and understand the importance of compliance of local building codesRecognize and understand the importance of compliance of all ADA code requirementsParticipate and recognize the importance of all required inspections for the projectEnsure by documenting and executing a proper Harper punch list prior to inviting Owner and Design Team punchProcore Fill-In Daily Log but not responsibleNavigate and understand how to utilize directoryUtilize and understand all functions of the drawings tab Recent DrawingsCreate InspectionsCreate and track an observationUtilize the photos applicationCreate and maintain the punchlistCreate an RFI for review by Superintendent and seek RFI information where applicableKnow where to find the schedule, read and understandUnderstand how to navigate and seek information from Specs toolUnderstand how to navigate and seek information from SubmittalsAbility to enter timesheet in ProcoreCompetenciesMust be flexible and accept change oftenMust be detail orientedA Can Do attitudeAbility to build relationships with project teammates and trade partnersExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent budgeting and cost containment skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong supervisory and leadership skills.Proficient with Microsoft Office.Experience with Procore a plus.Supervisory Responsibilities:Work Environment: This role will regularly require walking over varied terrain, climbing, stooping, bending, and lifting. Lifting requirements vary from minimal loads to heavy; but help is always available with heavier loads.Physical Demands:This position is required to work in a variety of conditions relative to construction jobsite environments and must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job, as assigned.Weather and climate conditions will vary throughout the progress of a project and the PE 1 must be able to inspect all ongoing construction activities over the duration of the assigned project.This role requires walking over varied terrain, climbing, stooping, bending, and lifting. Lifting requirements vary from minimal loads to heavy; but help is always available with heavier loads.Inspection for quality, consistency and completeness of work frequently requires climbing ladders, stairs, and scaffolding.Travel Required: Travel to/from multiple jobsites, projects, and offices.
