JOB SUMMARY
Provide technical expertise relating to maintenance work performed on rig equipment. Review maintenance tasks and schedules within the computerized maintenance management systems to ensure that the equipment functionality, reliability, availability and performance are optimized. Provide direction and oversight to rig and regional personnel for troubleshooting of rig drilling systems to minimize potential downtime. Provide company overview/expertise of repair standards and asset management for drilling equipment. Provide global review of Noble maintenance systems with a focus on maintaining rig and fleet equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree in a technical discipline or comparable experience.
5+ years of experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS);
15+ years progressive experience and responsibility in electrical / mechanical systems.
Good understanding and working knowledge of machinery and systems as applicable to the API Standards and Recommended Practices.
Demonstrated ability to effectively use a root cause analysis program/protocol such as Taproot, 5 Why, Cause Mapping, Fishbone, etc.
In-depth knowledge of drilling equipment.
Demonstrated leadership abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and other appropriate software.
Must have an excellent understanding of offshore operations and requirements of a support organization.
Have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of Reliability, Reliability Centered Maintenance, Predictive and Preventive Maintenance, and Condition-based Maintenance; CMRP/SMRP preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Travel is an essential job function (est. 35%, domestic, international and offshore).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Act as Company Subject Matter Expert within the assigned product lines
Provide immediate troubleshooting assistance via phone, internet, web-based applications until the support team arrives on site or the issue is resolved.
Provide technical expertise to rigs and regional maintenance teams for technical, maintenance, repair and installation activities.
Provide clear guidance to the organization to maintain equipment within the area of expertise.
Review CMMS maintenance tasks and update where needed.
Lead and/or participate in Root Cause investigations and prepare reports and action items from the findings.
Review alerts and bulletins and prepare recommendations for the fleet; assist with the distribution across the fleet.
Review management of change cases, maintenance change requests, and improvement proposals from rigs.
Assist with technical support through review of technical drawings and documentation, witnessing Factory Acceptance Testing, and Vendor Quality/Technical Capability Audits.
Visit Noble rigs and audit quality and methods of maintenance being performed and provide formal reports to management.
Provide assistance with rig shipyard/upgrade projects as required.
Meet with outside vendors to investigate failures, research upgrades, and develop repair and maintenance

procedures/protocols.
Keep abreast of equipment costs and obtain equipment quotes as required; conduct and calculate Cost Benefit Analysis and Return on Investment financial documents as required.
Interface with all departments in the performance of job functions and assist as directed.
