We are seeking a friendly and organized Medical Front Desk Receptionist to join our dental office. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth flow of daily operations. Key responsibilities include managing patient appointments, verifying insurance, handling billing and payments, and maintaining accurate patient records. This role requires communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

salary: $17.5 - $19 per hour

work hours: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Responsibilities

Medical Front Desk Receptionist - Dental Office Responsibilities:

  • Patient Reception and Check-in/Check-out: Greet patients, manage check-in and check-out processes, confirm appointments, and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed.
  • Appointment Scheduling: Coordinate and schedule patient appointments, follow-up visits, and manage any changes or cancellations.
  • Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance coverage, collect insurance information, and ensure accurate processing of claims.
  • Patient Records Management: Maintain and update patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Billing and Payments: Collect co-pays, outstanding balances, and process payments (cash, card, or check). Communicate billing information and answer patient questions regarding their accounts.
  • Phone and Email Communication: Handle inbound and outbound calls, respond to patient inquiries, and relay messages to the appropriate dental staff.
  • Pre-visit Preparation: Ensure patient charts, X-rays, and treatment plans are prepared and ready for dental staff before each appointment.
  • Office Coordination: Manage office supplies, order dental materials, and assist with maintaining a clean, welcoming reception area.
  • Patient Education: Provide patients with information on dental procedures, treatment plans, and office policies.
  • Follow-Up Calls: Contact patients for appointment reminders, follow-up on treatment plans, and confirm upcoming visits.
