JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position: EHS Manager Location: Menomonee Falls, WIJob Id: 4192 # of Openings: 1 Position Overview: The Manager,Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) directs and coordinatesenvironmental, health and safety activities including training,inspections; maintains records, permits and emergency plans; makesrecommendations for improving policies and procedures. This positioncarries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with theorganizations policies and applicable laws across multiple facilitiesand locations. Location: Multi Site - Menomonee Falls, WI and Brighton,MI Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide leadership to promotea safe and clean work area that meets both the spirit and content oflaws, regulations and standards for all EHS activities. Provideappropriate training for management, supervision, and all associateswith respect to EHS policy, practices and procedures. Participates inthe investigation of accidents and injuries and cooperates in thepreparation of material and evidence for organization use in hearings,lawsuits, and insurance investigations. Maintain Safety Data Sheet (SDS)program, which consists of master sheets file, computer program, andjustification records and approvals. Track chemical usage informationfor calculations and report filing. Characterize wastes, arrange fordisposal, and maintain traceable records. Lead waste minimizationefforts. Ensure safe and appropriate storage of waste and otherchemicals in compliance with federal, state, and local standards. Gatherdata; perform calculations to determine reporting requirements andcomplete reports for distribution to federal, state, and local agencies.Perform tests as needed to ensure compliance with permits and/orapplicable regulations. Act as Team Leader for Safety Team and plantinspections. Monitor safety action items, assigns responsible party totake corrective action and maintain records for follow up. Establish andmaintain safety programs and monitor industrial hygiene standards inareas such as, but not limited to, hearing conservation, blood bornepathogens, air sampling, asbestos, personal protective equipment, andothers as required by standards and regulations. Investigate injuries,root cause analysis, report to management on individual cases andmonitor on periodic (monthly) basis. Prepares and submits monthly safetystatistics including workers\' compensation cost summaries. Tracks andmanages open workers\' compensation cases with the workers\'compensation insurance carrier. Reviews medical documentation forworkers\' compensation injuries to assist employees in proceeding tomedical improvement. Schedules associates as needed for medicaltreatment and coordinates with management their return to work and/orrestricted work tasks. Advise management of the effectiveness of thesafety program.
